1 Review on “Erin McKenna's Bakery - Disney Springs Orlando”
This place is a welcome and fairly new vegan gem in Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney). The shop is extremely small with no seating, just counter service and items to take to go. There are good savory options like vegetable biscuits (pictured after I took mine home, sliced it up, and toasted the insides) and other breads, etc, but if you’re like me, you’re there for the sweets. I loved the thin mint I had the first time I visited, and the second time I was in town I went for the monstrosity of sugar that is the Bakery Sink (pictured). The components vary, but the one I chose had a split chocolate cupcake stacked between a cinnamon sugar donut and a crumble donut, all with caramel sauce throughout. I really enjoyed it, though I certainly didn’t attempt to eat it in one sitting. The baked goods were a bit on the dry, crumbly side for my taste, but the caramel sauce helped off-set that and I was not disappointed with my choice. I’ve also had their focaccia, and that was extremely well done. I purchased it to just snack on a couple of bites between meals and save for later, but before long the whole thing was gone 🙂
Overall, I love that Erin McKenna partnered with Disney to open this location, showing the Disney crowds how delicious vegan (and gluten free) treats and snacks can be! They started offering soft serve after my last visit home, so I feel confident that I’ll be back.
