1 Review on “VG Pâtisserie”
Finally! What the whole world was waiting for (sort of): a vegan french pâtisserie (pastry shop). Not only vegan but also organic with some no-gluten offers. And with good prices! You have to come twice in the little modern and clean place, with a few tables (not enough, but there are some little parks close by), close to the 11th arrondissement hall (métro Voltaire). First in the morning, for a typical french breakfast: a coffee, a tea or a fruit juice (all of great quality) and a couple of viennoiseries. Viennoiseries are croissants, pains au chocolat, croissants aux amandes, pains aux raisins, chaussons aux pommes… They are all so tasty! Then, you HAVE to come back later in the afternoon to try at least one pastry. The pastries here are not food, they are works of art, by Bérénice Leconte, the owner and creator here. She’s not just a typical pastry chef. She’s a food engineer! And for me, she’s an artist. All her creations are beautiful, tasty and surprising. When you buy a pastry here, you will take it in picture. Be sure of that. So far I’ve been there twice. I’ve heard some french vegans go there everyday! All allergens are indicated. The prices are what you expect in such a great pâtisserie, it’s not more expensive because it’s vegan which is pretty nice. So next time you’re in Paris, find a hostel or a airbnb in the 11th arrondissement and prepare a 10€ daily budget just for VG Pâtisserie. Forget the Eiffel Tower. Forget the Louvre. Just eat at this vegan french pâtisserie. Stomach orgasms are guaranteed.
