Red Onion is a family run, lively modern scottish restaurant in Glasgow’s city centre. It’s chef patron is John Quigley and it is a perfect causal gourmet dining experience.
We make the noodles, dumplings and all the other dishes ourselves from fresh ingredients with no artificial colourings or preservatives.
For too long, vegetarians have been a neglected minority, struggling to find a non-vegetarian restaurant that offers a reasonable selection. Good news! Chop Chop is the answer: because Jian, our founder, used to cook for her parents as she grew up in northern China and her father was a vegetarian, no less than one third of our menu consists of wonderfully delicious vegetarian dishes. You will find below 24 dishes, many of which you will never have tasted before and are only available in our award-winning restaurant or through our city-wide delivery service.

Twice cooked Belgian Fries, seasonings & Sauces
Takeaway with some seats. The only thing they fry in the oil is the chips (french fries), and they are fried in vegetable oil so no meatiness! And all the seasonings, bar the one with Parmesan, are veggie/vegan friendly, and so are several of the sauces! Ask to be sure which ones. Very reasonable prices!

Wudon several vegan options, and a nutritional/allergen list that they can check to see if dishes are vegan. Most things that have a (v) next to them are vegan, including the dumplings. However, the tempura batter is made with egg and is not vegan.

If you ask for without cheese and sour cream, and mention that you are ordering a vegan dish, they should give you guacamole for free.
