You HAVE to go here at least twice (once for breakfast and once for lunch/dinner)! They have a killer Tofu Benedict, great pancakes and waffles and really good burgers and milkshakes. If you’re looking for great vegan diner food in New York, this is the place to go!
My favorite place ever. I have been a ton of times and I’m never disappointed! <3
I fell in love with the Vanilla Milkshake and the “Mozzarella” Sticks I had here. I would definitely come back again! It was delicious!
I finally made it to Champs! This was a great way to start another day of enjoying New York and all of it’s delicious vegan finds. I don’t usually go for starters at brunch, but we had to try as much as we could while we were there, right? The mozzarella sticks were surprisingly outstanding, but the croissants were lacking.
I ordered the confetti pancakes and a side of hash browns for my next round of gut busting. I loved the fluffiness of the pancakes, and the amount of sprinkles and whipped cream really made these feel like a decadent dessert rather than a breakfast (perfect for someone like me with a huge sweet tooth in the morning). If I could do it over again, I wouldn’t have gotten the hash browns– they were dry and saturated with oil. But I’m not mad, Champs was overall a great experience, and I can’t wait to go back!
Love love love Champs! Vegan breakfast comfort food at its finest. We’ve taken non-vegans here and they’re always impressed. It’s just good food! And the ambiance is fun, punky and diner-y, with great people watching of both the staff and clientele if you get a good booth.
The only downside is that it can get crowded depending on when you go, but they have an excellent wait system in place where they text you when your table is ready. If you are really hungry you can go around the corner and have a pre-meal donut at Dunwell 😉
