Hidden away down an ancient cobbled lane in a former early 19th C stables Tchai-Ovna is a unique manifestation of Glasgow’s alternative bohemian culture. With the first seeds of activity at the location sowed by musician and poet Pol Morgan and compatriots in the early 90’s the Tchai-Ovna, opened 2001 and blossomed into a busy social hub and cultural venue serving a large variety of leaf tea, vegetarian food and shishas.

1 Review on “Tchai Ovna House of Tea”
I can’t say enough good things about Tchai-Ovna. But then, I’m very much a tea person and it is very much a tea place. The food isn’t very notable, but you don’t really go to Tchai-Ovna for the food. You go for the big fluffy cat that protects the sofas and you go for the music and the hundreds of teas and the sweet smell of incense. You go to spend too long living in a cloud of good smells and good vibes after ducking in out of the cold. Whatever reason entices you to go, you always go. So… Go.
