Our restaurant is named after the famous Sikh Temple in Amritsar in northern India. This temple has four doors, which symbolize the fact that everyone here with any religion, is always welcome.
The road from the Golden Temple in India to our restaurant in Amsterdam is through yoga, meditation and conscious preparation of cuisine that promotes unity in mind and body.
At the Golden Temple, we find local and fresh ingredients to be very important. We use no meat, fish or eggs in our dishes.

1 Review on “Golden Temple Amsterdam”
The atmosphere is incredible. Definitely one of my favorite places just based off of the decor and Buddhist inspired ambience. We sat at a large shared table with floor seating where I was accompanied by the restaurant pup who was incredibly snuggly. I recommend trying the “Flavours of India” dish where you get a sampler plate of many of their curries, chutney, and rice. We also got the Pakora which is deep fried vegetables in chickpea batter served with mint chutney. It was good, but the fried-ness of it wasn’t my favorite. But if you enjoy fried foods, go for it! Sharing is a good idea because it is VERY expensive….but worth trying!
