1 Review on “Vishnu Restaurantes Vegetarianos”
You can find Vishnu on a busy walking street in downtown San Jose.
It sits on a corner where you can’t miss it’s bright green facade. The name conjures up images of east indian food, but the dishes are mostly western. We visited twice while in San Jose, and tried the soy burger with french fries. I found it to be quite tasty, Giselle on the other hand thought it was a little dry.
During our second visit, I had the veggie burger a second time, and Giselle went for the plato del dia-a traditional plate of whole grain rice, salad, black beans, veggie stew, plantain, and a corn tortilla. It was a great choice. Much tastier than the dry veggie burger. A bowl of black bean cilantro soup was also served with it, and the flavours were phenomenal. I loved it so much that we went out and bought black beans, and cilantro to try to replicate it during our house sit in San Jose.
Vishnu is a great place for people who are looking for a change from rice, and beans, and it’s also perfect for those looking for home cooked flavours.
We will return again before we leave Costa Rica.
