The Durango-La Plata County Airport (DRO) is the premier airport in the Four Corners area. We have daily service from American Airlines and United Airlines, and has one of the longest runways in the Four Corners at 9,200 feet long and 150 feet wide. The airport terminal is open 24 hours per day. The TSA screening checkpoint typically opens 90 minutes prior to the first departure of the day and remains open until the final departing flight in the evening. Airline ticket counter hours vary depending on flight schedules. * Our 36,500-square-foot terminal opened in February 1988. The Durango-La Plata County Airport has four airlines, five rental car agencies, a deli, and a gift shop. * The Durango-La Plata County Airport is professionally staffed with professional aircraft firefighters (ARFF). The Durango-La Plata County Airport has two ARFF fire trucks with 750 pounds of dry chemical and 1,500 gallons of ARFF foam solution. * The Durango-La Plata County Airport receives approximately 50 inches of snow annually. The airport uses large plows, a broom sweeper, and two large rotary snow blowers to keep the runway clear during winter. The airport has a variety of smaller equipment that may be used if needed. * The Durango-La Plata County Airport is co-owned by the City of Durango and La Plata County. The airport is overseen by the Durango-La Plata County Airport Commission.

With over 80 years in operation, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the world’s sixth busiest airport for number of passengers, third in the United States and 13th in tonnage of air cargo handled. LAX strives for excellence in serving the evolving needs of the community and visitors who frequent this diverse metropolitan hub. The central complex features nine passenger terminals connected by a U-shaped two-level roadway. Curbside baggage check-in is available on the upper departure level. Baggage claim is on the lower level. Brand-named and ethnic-styled restaurants, cocktail lounges, gift shops, newsstands, duty free shops for international flights, restrooms, public telephones and business centers offer convenient services for the traveling public.
