ChinaHouse is a traditional compound of 3 heritage buildings, linked by an open air courtyard. Now converted into 14 existing spaces with shops, cafes, restaurants, galleries and theatre.

North Gate is a nighttime spot in Chiang Mai where visitors can see shows, impromptu jam sessions, and enjoy the art of jazz in Chiang Mai. Tuesday night is open mic night!

Phare, The Cambodian Human Circus (absolutely no animals involved) Uniquely Cambodian, Daringly Modern Experience one of the highlights of Cambodia and meet talented young performers in breathtakingly entertaining and original Cambodian shows. Phare, The Cambodian Circus tells uniquely Cambodian tales using modern circus arts and high energy music, touching on themes strong in Cambodian tradition, ethos and spirit. The performances mix theatre, music, dance, acrobatics, juggling, aerial acts, fire and contortion with an explosion of virtuosity and sensitivity. During the hour-long shows, the Phare performers share their emotions and excitement, blowing the audience away with their integrity and power. Phare artists are students and graduates from Phare Ponleu Selpak Artistic Center in Battambang. The association was formed 20 years ago by 8 young men coming home from a refugee camp after the Khmer Rouge regime. They were greatly helped by art therapy and wanted to share this new skill among the poor, socially deprived and troubled youngsters in Battambang. They founded an art school and public school followed to offer free education. A music school and theatre school were next and finally, for the kids who wanted more, the circus school. Today more than 1,200 pupils attend the public school daily and 500 attend the alternative schools. Phare Ponleu Selpak also has extensive outreach programs, trying to help with the problems highlighted in their own tales. Phare The Cambodian Circus offers these students and graduates somewhere to hone their skills and a place to earn a decent wage.
