I was really eager to try this place that was deemed the “vegan In-N-Out” but in my opinion the food didn’t really impress me all that much. The curly fries and sauce were good, but it’s honestly hard to mess up fries. I didn’t think the burger tasted very good and the vegan popcorn chicken had a weird aftertaste. My favorite option I tried here would have to be the milkshake. It tasted a little icy but the flavor did remind me of something I’ve tried in my pre-vegan days.
Overall I wouldn’t go back to Vege-Way over the other places in Vegas but I appreciate that they have vegan fast food options here AND a drive thru that makes it even more convenient for people. I would support this place over any fast food chain that has vegan options but still serves animal products.
Vege-Way is a great fast food concept and is making vegan food that people are comfortable with more accessible, which I love about them. However, the quality of the food itself is just average, and I don’t think I’d go out of my way to visit them again. I didn’t care for the burger at all, but I did enjoy the flavor of the milkshake we got. It was a peanut butter white chocolate shake that reminded me exactly of a certain clown-shaped treat with Reese’s Pieces I always got at Friendly’s when I was a kid. So that was a nice trip down memory lane.
If you’re a big veggie burger fan, or have a soft spot for fast food, you’ll probably want to give Vege-Way a try! For me, it wasn’t quite what I was looking for.
