Affordable vegetarian restaurant a few blocks off the Vegas Strip that serves mainly locals and has an extensive vegan menu. All of the items on the menu are vegan, but unfortunately they do take requests for a couple of dishes prepared with eggs.

I have been on a search for the perfect wonton soup ever since I became vegan 6 years ago. The wonton soup at Veggie House has come closest to the perfect wonton soup than any I’ve tried! 9/10 🙂 This place is a bit hidden upstairs in a shopping complex, but when walking in we were surrounded by amazing smells and the place was half full with locals. They have a $8.25 lunch special which includes rice, soup, and a main, and comes as a good portion size. The food was all excellent, we ordered the curry chicken, General Tzo chicken, spring rolls, fried wontons, and wonton soup, and everything was really excellent. This place is a great place to go especially if you’re looking for quality food off the strip with inexpensive prices. There are some busses that go here, but it was also fairly simple to walk over, though it’s just about an hour walk.
I had heard great things about Veggie House, and I had a wonderful experience there! I went with a group and we shared a couple of dishes that we ordered for the table. We were recommended by a local to try the vegan orange chicken and the cilantro salad, and both were very tasty. We also ordered some delicious fried wontons and a couple people ordered thai tea, which was very sweet but it had a nice flavor overall.
The ambience of Veggie House is very interesting, with a water fountain in the corner of the restaurant and other unique decor. The staff was very friendly and the owner even came by and said hello to our table.
I would love to stop by Veggie House again next time I’m in Vegas, especially since it’s right by Ronald’s Donuts (within walking distance). Prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are generous, and they have such a wide variety of items on their menu that I’d love to try something new next time!
Veggie House was the first of many stops along our vegan tour of Vegas one day, and it was probably one of my favorites from the day, too. Good tasting vegan Chinese food with lots of variety on the menu. We ordered some fried wontons, something I hadn’t had in a while, as well as a cilantro salad and their vegan orange chicken. We also had a couple of thai iced teas to wash it all down.
I don’t think I ever would have tried the cilantro salad had it not come so highly recommended to us, and it was such a delightful surprise! The dressing was well-balanced, there was some yummy tofu in there. The whole thing was great, and a nice balance to the heavier fried things we had ordered (which were also very good). I really enjoyed Veggie House!
