Nice to meet you all here on this site. One of the best decisions I’ve made was to stop eating animals over 25 years ago. For the first almost 2 years, I was vegan.
Over 25 years ago, the options were limited and I began eating eggs, butter, ice-cream and yogurt. I never drank milk again. Now for the past 4 1/2 years I made the conscious decision to be vegan for life. I have always been a lover of animals. Through Buddhism I discovered the path of compassion and mindfulness. Being kind to all living beings became my life. I learned about the adverse affects of eating animals. Not to mention the despicable conditions, and horrible treatment towards them.
I have since lived a wholesome, fulfilled life of compassion, love, ethics, understanding, good health and acceptance inclusive of our non-human animal friends.

I am thoroughly grateful to have a highly conscious daughter who is also vegan. I actually became fully vegan for life after she educated me on the plight of dairy cows.
In addition to a daughter, I have a son (in-law) who is also vegan…..YES, 2 important people in my life, vegan….seriously, can’t ask for much more….lol. How awesome is that!!
If that wasn’t enough to be grateful for, my nephew also made the conscious decision to be vegan 1 1/2 years ago. It warms my heart to have the most important people in my life living consciously.

I also have a passion for travel. I have been traveling for as long as I have been vegetarian/vegan. Exploring different corners of the world with an open perspective
and a fearless approach has helped me in understanding myself and the diversity of the world. It has opened my eyes and changed my life for ever. My travel agenda is usually limited to choosing a country I have an interest in, booking a flight and off I go. When I arrive, I explore remote areas, make unexpected connections with locals, have memorable experiences, seek-out vegan restaurants, of course and the element of surprise is always lurking around the corner. What I’ve learned is, be open to anything and everything. Life has a way of teaching you something extraordinary, especially when you are enthusiastic about living…..

    • Wow, it is so great to have a family full of people who have consciously made the most ethical decisions in life! Congratulations to you and your family 🙂
Being open to anything is really important I feel for making connections and understanding the world, and learning new things through your experiences. You’re absolutely right, life has a way of imparting extraordinary experiences.

      • Nice to e-meet you, Michelle….creating our own online lingo….lol Yes, I feel so very grateful and lucky to have a few
close people in my family who have made a conscious decision to live on purpose…..
