To challenge myself in my 65th year (21 as a vegan), I plan to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro on March 1, 2018.
To join me on this quest, I’ve been recruiting a compatible group of very fit vegan adventurers. Besides fulfilling personal goals, this will be an opportunity to promote to the world what can be achieved on a strictly plant-based diet, and I will be seeking international publicity for our group’s aims and progress.
Concerned with cross-contamination and uncomfortable dining around others eating animal products, I’ve arranged with a very reputable guide company, http://www.ultimatekilimanjaro.com, to provide a 100% vegan mess tent with all new eating utensils and cooking gear along with segregated food storage.
The capstone of the trek will be the unfurling of a banner at the foot of the famous Uhuru Peak summit sign promoting the life-saving mission of PCRM’s Barnard Medical Center http://www.pcrm.org/barnard-medical-center.
So far, with 5 climbers from 3 states (California, Texas, Florida), we’ve locked in the climb dates (Feb 25 – Mar 2, 2018) and are seeking up to 7 more vegan adventurers to join the team.
If Kilimanjaro is on your bucket list and you would like detailed information on costs and logistics, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sounds like a wonderful goal, and a very exciting experience you have ahead of you. I’m looking forward to hearing more about your upcoming Kilimanjaro adventure.
