I think this place just opened, so they don’t have a ton of food options. The juices that the staff let us sample were actually really good, though they are definitely priced pretty high. They have a coffee bar and offer soy and coconut milk for drinks, and I enjoyed my latte that I got from here. Their raw desserts including donuts, cakes and some other treats looked delicious too; I tried this excellent chocolate coconut cake with strawberries in the middle.
The ambience of House of Alchemy is pretty cozy and calming, and I appreciate the upstairs area as a workspace or just a place to catch up with a friend. This isn’t your standard coffee shop but they do offer wifi and caffeinated drinks.
The main things that bothered me were the fact that they carry things like bone broth in the cooler here, and that the staff tried to serve us a drink with honey in it after we said we were vegan. The high prices of things here, and the fact that it’s not super close to the Vegas Strip (where a lot of people stay) may be a reasonable deterrent from stopping by House of Alchemy.
House of Alchemy seems like a work in progress, based on the very nice conversation we had with the owner. Their food menu is forthcoming, but they do have a small selection of raw desserts in their cooler. We tried a strawberry cream cake slice that was good and not too sweet.
The focus at House of Alchemy is the juice and nut milk menu, though they do also serve espresso drinks with non-dairy milk options. We sampled several of their nut milks and juices, but were *almost* accidentally served one with honey (a lot of their juices and nut milks are vegan, but keep an eye out for that honey).
I think the biggest thing House of Alchemy has going for it is ambience. Like many places in Vegas, it’s situated in a strip mall, but they’ve done a really nice job of curating the space in such a way that you can hang out, relax, get some work done, or just enjoy the company of others and kind of forget where you are for a while. This would be a great working space if it were down the street from me.
Was in search for a new vegan place in Vegas because their aren’t that many. A friend told me to try this place out, so I did.
There weren’t any vegan options to eat. They said they were out of ingredients. All the juices seemed over-priced. The guys at the counter were just complaining to each other about weird things. They do not deliver.
Overall, didn’t get a good vibe from this place. Unfortunate.
