Ever since I experienced the wonders of the Northern Lights in Tromsø, Norway a few years ago, I have been longing to go back. And I had been planning to do just that this March, but last minute my plans changed so instead of -30C, I’m traveling in +30C weather today! 🙂
I highly recommend late autumn or early spring in Tromsø, Norway. From Tromsø it’s an easy drive to several picturesque sites along the coast or over the mountains to Finnish lapland. Norway gets the Gulf Stream, so their winters are 10-15C warmer then they would otherwise be, so it is one of the more comfortable places to view the Northern L…[Read more]
Two years ago from today, I was visiting my hometown for the Natural Products Expo West trade show. Unfortunately I’m missing out on it this year but it was a blast the last time I went, and so many great vegan companies were there. I brought so many samples home too!
Throwing it back to an overcast day spent in Franklin Square in Philly a couple of years ago with a dear friend of mine, who was one of my greatest influences when I first decided to go vegan! So much of what makes Morocco so special, are the beautiful colors, designs, and textures you see everywhere from their narrow markets, to their building & home designs, to their colorful traditional clothing. And the tastes of some of their local grown vine ripened produce, with some those spices on top of couscous, alone is a treat…[Read more]
Daydreaming about some of the great vegan eats I had in Orlando last October, and how excited I am to pay these tasty treats another visit when I’m there a few weeks from now! Vegan Brunchwrap from Leguminati, and some Valhalla Bakery donuts to wash it down ;-)…[Read more]
Here’s a throwback to some vegan pancakes I enjoyed with my mom at lunch last weekend at Watercourse Foods in Denver, CO. My mom has been vegan now for over two years and I couldn’t be more proud of her!
