It’s a food festival first. Both local and international chefs will wow you with delicious dishes, desserts, drinks, and everything else under the sun. Plus, we stock a marketplace full of vendors who will change what you think is possible for vegan food. It’s a weekend full of cooking demonstrations, free samples, new products, and cookbook launches. Oh, and eating. You seriously won’t believe how much eating there is. We insist on making this event free to the public, so all you need to bring is an appetite. And if you’re a carnivore, don’t worry – we won’t try to recruit you. The food might, though. Between meals, our program is stuffed with workshops, lectures, fitness classes, music, panel discussions, and other special events. But let’s be honest, you won’t find out why we are North America’s premier veg food festival by reading words on the internet. You’ll have to visit us September 9-11, 2016 for a weekend-long celebration of the best the vegetarian world has to offer, hosted over 10-acres of Harbourfront Centre’s beautiful waterfront.

After a thrilling VegfestUK London 2015 visited by around 12,000 people, VegfestUK announced dates for VegfestUK London 2016 to be October 22nd 23rd 2016 at Olympia London. In response to the huge amount of visitors we had at this year’s event and the overcrowding issues, we have decided to expand into the first floor of the West Hall of Olympia and keep Levels 1 & 3 of the Central Hall (which were in use for London 2015). It is our plan that with the expanded venue, our visitors will have a more pleasant experience with plenty of space and seating for everyone to relax and chill rather than being cramped in tight spaces. The VegfestUK organisers added, “It’s a welcome problem to have to deal with massive queues and crowds in response to the massive growth in demand for everything related to the vegan lifestyle right now. We are thrilled to be able to confirm our dates for London 2016 and work in an even bigger venue, with the hope of creating an even better visitors experience. We are already thinking ahead for this event in less than a year’s time and we’re confident that our 2016 event will be absolutely amazing for everyone involved.” Show website www.london.vegfest.co.uk Full review of VegfestUK London 2015 – http://vegfestexpress.co.uk/tabs/blog/2015/10/thrilling-vegfestuk-london-2015-with-around-12000-visitors Our official response to criticisms of VegfestUK London 2015 – http://bit.ly/1jvvzQJ 15-minute film “Why Go Vegan?” from VegfestUK London 2015 (courtesy of Anneka Svenska from Green World TV) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qMsceROUy4&list=PLnDhIVB9OlwBvUiR8OJpJr4WSLHsADzdK&index=8 In the meantime, check out Vegfest’s other events: VegfestUK Bristol – May 21st 22nd 2016, www.bristol.vegfest.co.uk Vegfest Scotland – December 3rd 4th 2016, www.vegfestscotland.com VegfestUK Brighton – March 11th 12th 2017, website live in August 2016 Also don’t miss other quality grassroots vegan events all over the UK – full details at www.vegfest.co.uk Stay tuned to the Vegfest Express for all latest vegan news around the globe – www.vegfestexpress.co.uk Watch all the videos from previous Vegfest events on VegfestUK TV – www.youtube.com/vegfestuktv

Sydney-siders love animals! Our furry friends are part of the family and the city is littered with off-leash parks we can enjoy with them. Restaurants across Sydney are embracing offering animal-free options to diners and vegan establishments are flourishing. We stand up for our animal friends with thousands of Sydney residents lining the streets calling for an end to the cruelty of live export. Our love of animals is loud and clear. What else does Sydney love? Festivals! Nothing gets us out of the house like festival-fun-times! The Sydney Cruelty Free Festival is the perfect combination of Sydney’s love of festivals and animals. If you need further convincing, we’ve put together some of our top reasons behind hosting a Cruelty Free Festival in Sydney: – Sometimes it can seem difficult and overwhelming to incorporate more cruelty-free options into our day to day lives. The Cruelty Free Festival provides people with exciting vegan and cruelty free products, as well as the inspiration for making easy compassionate choices in everyday living; – The Festival is a celebration of all the inspiring individuals, organisations, and businesses amongst us who are dedicated to making the world a better place, whether it be one step, one idea, one campaign, or even one vegan cupcake at a time; – What better way to bring cruelty free products en masse to the people of Sydney! The Festival will highlight the abundance of vegan cruelty free options on the market and show how these products are becoming more mainstream and accessible; – The Festival provides an opportunity to make new connections with like-minded individuals. An event like this brings together many different people, all with Something to share; – The Festival will feature a range of animal rights, rescue and welfare groups, so there will be many opportunities to interact with organisations and activists working on the front-line for animals. Festival-goers can speak directly with the people behind these organisations to find out about the latest campaigns, how they can get involved and make a difference, and how they can support the ongoing work of the organisations that resonate with them; – The Cruelty Free Festival creates an environment of support and encouragement. You will discover you are not alone on your journey, and will be exposed to a thriving, vibrant, and compassionate community; – The Cruelty Free Festival is a chance to align our internal ethics with our external actions and habits. CFF allows us to recognise our power as consumers and to promote change by supporting the large number of ethical businesses out there; – It’s fun! The Cruelty Free Festival is an exciting fun-filled fusion of food, fashion, entertainment, art, products, networking, talks, and demonstrations. There is definitely something for everyone to enjoy! Sydney is embracing the rising global movement of compassion. Everyone is invited to join this compassionate community and be a voice for the animals. The Cruelty Free Festival is the perfect opportunity to embrace the power of making cruelty free choices, in a fun and inspiring atmosphere. Every choice, made by every person, each and every day, matters. Entry $5, kids under 12 free!

After a successful debut show at the SECC in December 2015, one of Europe’s top vegan festivals Vegfest is returning on December 3rd-4th 2016 and it is going to be even bigger and better. One of the hallmarks of Vegfest is that it combines vegan food, education, entertainment, socialising in a welcoming, friendly environment and everyone is welcome regardless of their current dietary or lifestyle choice. Vegfest is also marvellous for any businesses with vegan products or campaigners with information on veganism to showcase to well over thousands of visitors. Vegfest Scotland manager Tim Barford added: “Vegan businesses in Scotland are in a growth area and we are seeing a lot of new startups in Scotland. It is great to see so many passionate and creative businesses rocking up at our show. In 2015, at our first show, we had over 130 stalls and in 2016 we are expecting to see 160 vegan stalls with vegan businesses from across Scotland and the UK.” Tim continued: “Over 7,000 people attended the first-ever Vegfest Scotland in December 2015. This year’s show, on December 3rd 4th 2016 at the SECC, should see us top 10,000 visitors.” Small businesses especially are very welcome to apply. The show is set up with businesses that are just getting going and looking to grow and reach new levels. There are cheaper stall options to ensure that even startup businesses are not excluded from exhibiting. Non-profits, charities, social enterprises etc are very welcome to get in touch about stall applications. Meanwhile, follow the latest updates on Facebook and Twitter @VegfestScotland For further queries, please email chris.vegfestuk@gmail.com or call 0117 9071881. Big thanks to our first sponsors including: Bute Island Foods, Koko Dairy Free, Jason Natural Care UK, Mono Cafe Bar, VeggieVision.TV and Yaoh Ltd..

Mallorca – Deep Relaxation & Vitality “Nature does not hurry, and yet everything is done.” – Lao Tzu What if you feel completely free? What if you can just be yourself? And the moment of eternity becomes reality? Let us forget time for a moment and immerse ourselves in a timeless journey. Timeless means to have arrived at a point, where everything is done. And gives us the space to experience our own perfection. This time, our journey leads us to Mallorca, the pearl of the Mediterranean. Through many years of experience sailing around Mallorca, the crew of the Largyalo will take us to the most beautiful corners of the island. Lonely bays, impressive coastal strips, idyllic port towns and the most beautiful dive spots invite you to explore and marvel. At the nature reserve around the island of Cabrera, one of the best preserved of the Mediterranean, an impressive underwater world awaits us. Groupers, moray eels, rays, turtles, dolphins and occasionally whales are at home here. And as freedivers, we dive on a single breath into this fascinating world. In addition, innumerable bays with caves and rock formations invite you to explore the world under water again and again. We set off to explore new worlds, both inside and outside. A trip with Silence, Joy, Freedom means living in harmony with nature, practicing yoga, freediving, sailing, pure relaxation, laughing together, having time for oneself, watching the stars at night, exploring, experiencing silence, sharing joy and to experience freedom. We are supported by the Largyalo, the sailboat and crew, which is a dream made reality itself by their builders. Our days begin with powerful Kundalini yoga sessions that strengthen body and mind. They give the days a very special quality and presence. We enjoy the water, the sun, the sailing and the calm and relaxed life on board. And of course the delicious vegan and vegetarian food. As during all our journeys, we live sustainably and only want to take home the most precious things – our memories and images from a wonderful time we spent together. You don’t need any sailing, yoga or freediving experience to join us. We are looking forward to have you with us for this wonderful journey! Price: Double Cabin 1750 € pp* Single Cabin 3300 € pp* * travel excluded and Early Bird offer till May 31st 2017. Prices from June 1st: Double Cabin 1850 € pp* Single Cabin 3500 € pp* If you have any questions or if you want to sing up for the cruise contact us at info@silencejoyfreedom.com – we are looking forward hearing from you!
