Two Boots was created in NYC’s East Village in 1987 by two indie filmmakers who loved pizza, beer and all things New Orleans (the two “boots” refer to the geographic shapes of Italy and Louisiana). Our locations include NYC, Connecticut, Los Angeles, Baltimore, and soon many more, but wherever we go, we try to bring our family-friendly service, funky folk art and deep commitment to the community.

2 Reviews on “Two Boots Pizza - West Village”
My biggest food goal when in New York was to get a proper pizza. We heard that Two Boots was the best place to go for vegan pizza, and I would be surprised if there was somewhere better. This was EXACTLY what I was looking for. The pizza I had envisioned leading up to New York was huge, Two Boots delivered on this front. The pizza I had envisioned would flop in your hands as you picked it up, Two Boots delivered on this front. The pizza I had envisioned would leave me talking about it all day, Two Boots delivered.
The restaurant itself is also really cool to someone who is a fan of indie and cult cinema. Most of the pizzas are named and themed after cult and indie film characters. The downside to here is that it’s quite pricey. The menu is not entirely vegan, and we found ourselves paying a bit extra for vegan cheese. A tad annoying, but such good pizza!
I don’t know how to begin to tell you how important pizza is to me. Pizza was an every-Friday night thing for myself and my large family. It was a bit of a loss when going vegan, though not by much. We adjusted. I got pizza without cheese and extra tomato sauce. It was fine. I was just fine. Two Boots brought my pizza experience back up from fine to INCREDIBLE. Their vegan pizza option isn’t the kind of vegan pizza you get at a vegan place in the UK, where the cheese is just a pathetic sprinkling and the crust is artisinally flat. This is the kind of pizza you get when you’re hanging out with your friends on Friday night and you want to drown in delicious, delicious cheese. This pizza is everything you hope for in pizza, plus everything you hope for in ethical cheese on pizza. It also helps that the restaurant bring so much attention to their vegan option and don’t hide it. They must be proud of having such an amazing dish.
