I don’t usually like sushi, but I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Their wraps are one of my favorite items, and they offer good combos that are reasonably priced. I felt like service here was really quick and they had a lot of items that could be taken to-go. Beyond Sushi has quite a few locations, so there’s bound to be one close to wherever you might be visiting in NYC.
I usually stay in a midtown hotel when I visit NYC, and Beyond Sushi is an excellent midtown vegan restaurant to grab a quick meal or take out some sushi with me for my flight home. My favorite roll is the Mighty Mushroom and their seaweed salad (pictured above). One note to keep in mind; if you are planning to go during lunch time on a weekday, getting a seat may be challenging – they only have a 3 tables and a few counter stools to sit on. But even with all the vegan options available in NYC, they are definitely worth looking into if you are looking for a quick and tasty vegan meal.
