Blossom is a great family-friendly restaurant, even if your family happens to include omnivores. They have a wide variety of options on their menu, from pasta to burgers and incredible dishes made with seitan. The ambience is beautiful, especially in the evening. Don’t forget to save some room for dessert (especially the Tiramisu)!
I am so grateful for our meal at Blossom. The service was incredible, I loved the entire vibe and mood of the restaurant, and the food is something to remember.
We shared a selection of appetizers that included Mushroom Ravioli with Truffle Butter Sauce, and Trumpet Mushroom Calamari (I’m a big mushroom fan, so these stood out as my favorites).
For my entree, I decided to order from the ‘in Bloom’ menu insert that features “seasonal selections of vegetable-focused creations.” Blossom is a 100% vegan spot, and I’d argue that most of their menu items are vegetable-focused, but the ‘in Bloom’ menu excluded things like seitan or other plant proteins, and really did sing the praises of the vegetables featured. I chose the Black Truffle Risotto with roasted cauliflower and asparagus tips. It was outstanding, even though it did leave me wanting far more truffle flavor than I got from it.
We ordered plenty of dessert to share, and my favorites were the famed Blossom Tiramisu, as well as the Chocolate Ganache. I championed hard for the Orange Creme Brulee (I have a few “always order it if you find it vegan” foods, and creme brulee is one of them), but it was kind of a let down for me. Others at the tabled totally loved it, and the flavor was spot on, but the texture wasn’t what I was hoping for. Oh, the peach cobbler was fantastic as well.
