Ensenada, Mexico landmark Hussong’s Cantina brings an approachable menu and buoyant Baja atmosphere to Las Vegas at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place located between Mandalay Bay and Luxor on the Las Vegas Strip. Whether it’s the authentic Baja cuisine, the chance to experience the unusually strong original margarita or sing along to the rock ‘n’ roll Mariachi band, Hussong’s Cantina appeals to every kind of crowd.
Located 50 miles south of Tijuana, Mexico, the iconic bar opened in 1892. The Baja spot is the originator of the margarita and even served the likes of Marilyn Monroe. Today, it remains a destination for everyone from Ensenada locals to surfers from California, and is considered a social hub of the Baja 1000 off-road race. It’s been said that if you haven’t been to Hussong’s Cantina, you haven’t been to Mexico.
The 3,700-square-foot Vegas restaurant savors all the charms of the original, right down to the façade, exterior signage and a replica of the rustic green and red bar. The food at Hussong’s Cantina introduces Las Vegas locals and tourists alike to authentic Baja street fare along with signature cocktails and an impressive selection of tequila and Mexican beer.
Hussong’s Cantina is open from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m., seven days a week. Group reservations can be made by calling 702.632.6450

1 Review on “Hussong's Cantina - Las Vegas”
Please note there are two locations for this restaurant in Vegas, I highly prefer the one inside Mandalay Bay due to quality. This restaurant now has a full vegan menu that includes dessert. The food here is pretty close to authentic Mexican food carrying most classics. I’v been here several times and never disappointed. As most bigger restaurants out here, the meat subs are Gardein and cheese is Deiya, you can count on getting sides of pinto beans and rice as well. There are no specific vegan drinks, so w/out inquiring about sugar, I have stuck to water and beers I know that are vegan. The environment is typically very lively with a small trio of a band that walks around covering classic American songs, one gentleman sounding very much like Johnny Cash! This place does get crowded on the weekends mostly from what I’be seen. Over all, a nice chill environment, do recommend.
