2 Reviews on “Grasshopper Restaurant”
We were taken to Grasshopper by our Couchsurfing hosts during our stay in Boston. My experience there was wonderful. The person who was taking us was so excited to share that experience with each of us that he bought a bunch of starters and sides just to share with the table, so we got to try quite a bit.
I find the food here very comfortable. It was very nostalgic of sitting around Chinese takeaway together. I don’t know what was used for the mock chicken here, but it was very good! If you feel a need for that very specific Chinese takeaway flavour, then this place will absolutely fulfil.
I love orange chicken. It’s comfort food to me. And though it’s easy to abstain from it since being an ethically-driven vegan, it is difficult to hide my disappointment whenever I make it from soy and find that it falls short. Grasshopper does not fall short. They have the most amazing vegan orange chicken EVER. The portion is huge and probably not very healthy, either, but no one really likes orange chicken because it’s healthy. I certainly like it because it makes my heart happy. If you’re looking for your old Chinese food favourite, come here. Right now.
