Had a lovely dinner at Crossroads. Arguably my favorite dining experience ever. Chef Tal Ronnen really knows flavor. We had the Kite Hill Cheese Plate, & it was so good! It was my first time trying higher end vegan cheese and it did not disappoint. We had the Bloomsdale Spinach Salad (which is actually on the brunch menu. We had the sweetest server.) & everyone enjoyed that salad A LOT. The Artichoke Oysters are so full of flavor. The Oven Roasted Truffled Potatoes were insane. (They have truffle!) The “Crab Cakes” were okay. I don’t think I liked the horseradish aioli very much. Loved the Spicy Meatball Pizza & Fettuccine. I really loved the New York Cheesecake and thought the Hot Fudge Sundae was too rich for me. Overall a very wonderful dinner! That you Alan, of VeganTravel for hosting Keith and I for such a LOVELY meal!
of course the Truffle Potatoes had truffle. LOL. I just especially enjoyed the truffle!
One of the best vegan fine dining restaurants in the country. Our server was amazingly friendly and knowledgable so we let her choose the meal options for us. We had our favorites, but almost everything she choose for us was absolutely amazing. Crossroads proves that you don’t need seitan or mock meats to have an incredibly delicious and completely satisfying vegan dining experience.
Crossroads never disappoints. The variety of options and the small-plate style make every visit a fun tasting party. The ‘signature’ dishes continually impress, like the kale caesar salad, crab cakes, grilled maitake mushrooms… I could go on and that is just the dinner menu.
For brunch, the egg sandwich on a croissant is Divine and the perfect handheld and savory sandwich. Chicken and waffles is a must try, and the Crispy Milanese is so spectacular! I have even taken it to go and eaten it hours later on a plane knowing I wasn’t going to be fed well.
Over all this is one of my favorite spots world-over.
Oh Crossroads… a huge reputation that they 100% live up to. Beautiful plating and flavors, and a nice variety of lighter and more substantial dishes. Our waitress was really helpful when we asked for suggestions, and everything was expertly crafted. I loved the truffled potatoes, and the scallopini parmesan was a group favorite! I do like seitan and other plant-proteins, but one of the things I appreciate about Crossroads is how so many of their dishes are very vegetable-forward, and celebrate the qualities of the different vegetables, greens, and legumes used. We had several desserts to round out the meal, and I think the best was definitely the drunken brownie.
The ambience is super cozy though also super dark, and the tables are small and close together, so hope for a quiet bunch seated near you if you want to chat with your party. None of that stopped us from having an amazing meal here, though!
