Mi Hungry Whol’-Some Food Ltd is a raw vegan restaurant with an aim to supply the public with uncooked vegan food and juices in an exotic way at an affordable price. It offers sun cooked vegetarian cuisine prepared without the use of water (only coconut water), flour, sugar, preservatives or stove. The name is a combination of two phrases used locally by persons when they are feeling hungry – Mi Hungry, Mi a go Whol’-Some Food. It was chosen because the operators considered it to be very catchy.

I was excited to find a fully raw vegan cafe in Kingtson. After speculating on how easy it would be to be raw in Jamaica, I found this reflected in the prices on Mihungry’s menu. Normally raw food is ridiculously overpriced, but not here. Not at all.
We ordered the burger, pizza, and fruit pie. Everything we ate felt incredibly healthy. It isn’t often that I really feel I’m putting extremely good things into my body when eating, but I certainly felt that here. The food was extremely tasty, particularly the burger. And the staff were super friendly. Check it out!
Coming here was my very first all-raw restaurant experience. I felt healthier just being here. The food was really good and it was interesting in flavour and texture. Very unique stuff. The fare was quite light, but filling. I’m not sure I could handle the raw-life, but if I did try it and I was in Jamaica, I would make this my go-to place for lunch.
