1 Review on “Gratitude Restaurant”
Gratitude Restaurant was the perfect “last night in town” meal in Munich. This place is clearly a popular choice, because most of the tables were reserved when we arrived, and during our meal they had to turn some walk-ins away. The menu items had a lot of fresh ingredients, and even the fried components of our dishes weren’t too heavy. We opted for a tasting menu for two, which allowed us to select three of their starters to share, our own entrees, and we each got the dessert they had prepared for the evening.
We chose the falafel with homemade hummus, the avocado chips (think breaded and fried avocado slices), and the raw kohlrabi ravioli to start. All of them were amazing, with the avocado chips and the sauce that accompanied it topping my favorites.
For our entrees, I ordered a breaded tempeh dish with a whole grilled avocado, roasted corn, and other great, tasty components. My partner ordered a pesto zucchini dish that he dug into before I could snap a photo, but that he also raved about. Everything came out beautifully, and tasted delicious!
The dessert was a lemon cheesecake (raw, I think), with hazelnut ice cream on top and a rich red berry sauce. Based on the way this review is going, I don’t think I even need to say how tasty it was.
Bottom line, don’t miss Gratitude Restaurant if you’re in Munich! Yes, it’s a bit on the pricey side, but it is worth it if you’re looking for a great, fine dining experience.
