The sequel to Commercial Drive’s long-running “nerd bar,” the Storm Crow Tavern, has recently opened on Broadway (at Fir). We feature 20 taps of BC microbrews, a host of amazingly geeky cocktails, and great pub food. Watch sci-fi on our big screen TVs (no sports), or borrow a board or card game from our extensive library. ***No minors after 8pm even if you stack them in a trench coat on each other’s shoulders.***

We care about three simple things: smiles, conversation, and donuts. If we can get you smiling or talking about our donuts, then that’s a win for us. We do this by making donuts the simple way, using real quality ingredients and making everything from scratch. Every day. We offer a variety of donuts at both of our stores including vegan and gluten friendly options. We also make mini donuts as well as 6inch and 9inch donut cakes by request!

Making people happy by offering fresh and wholesome Lebanese food. The premier Nuba restaurant was inspired by an independent and modern Beirut during the 1940′s. At the time, it was an intellectual and cultural Mecca considered the Paris of the Middle East. Nuba in Gastown has a 60+ seat capacity and a 36-foot bar. It offers fresh-pressed juices, fair trade organic coffee, and a wine list with a special focus on organic products that reflect the simplicity of our menu and our commitment to value. Our approach to beverages is no different than with our food. Nuba’s cocktails are made from scratch with fresh fruit juices, organic ingredients, and natural sweeteners. Proving it is possible to nourish your body as you have fun. During lunch we offer the same menu that made us famous for fresh and flavourful food. After 5pm the lights dim and Nuba’s nightly adventures begin with an evening menu that captures the traditional Lebanese style of sharing with new and innovative dishes. …. When searching online for “milkshakes in Vancouver” the results evidenced that Vancouverites loved the frothy drink yet there was not a single establishment that specialized in shakes with seemingly endless topping and flavor combinations. So, the time finally came to shake things up! At What’s Shaken our goal is to provide a delicious, fast milkshake treat served out of a modern and hip milkshake bar to those of you on the go. As a specialty shop we will provide tons of different savory milkshake flavors and we will also provide options for the lactose intolerant and vegetarian consumers ensuring that everyone has something to choose from. We will also have a number of supplements available to ensure your dietary health needs can be met. The concept of the What’s Shaken Milkshake Bar is a modernized take on the old milkshake parlors that were so prevalent during the 1950’s. We are a contemporary, hip and inviting walk up shake bar with great music playing in the background at a volume level that is just right! The color scheme is inviting and there is a special section where the wall will be adorned with featured local artist’s work. Their info will be available in store if you would like to find out more about the amazing local talent that is showcased. Located in an area that provides a blend of established and new residents and merchants, this newly revitalized area of downtown Vancouver is sure to be one of the more vibrant, up and coming neighborhoods and we’re happy to be a part of this growth! Come have a shake and enjoy a day in the beautiful park across the street with your family or canine companion!

Making people happy by offering fresh and wholesome Lebanese food. Nuba’s Lebanese style taverna in Kitsilano, is in the space formerly occupied by the legendary Greek Taverna Orestes. The walls still speak of a time of glory when woody restaurants and bars flourished in Kitsilano. Unchecked by fashion, Nuba in Kitsilano is a Lebanese taverna, like one might have visited back in the days before the civil war, somewhere along Lebanon’s stretch of Mediterranean coastline, in towns like Jounieh or Sour. The cavernous complexity of the restaurant’s interior unfolds over multiple levels through small, low-ceilinged nooks, and up and down numerous staircases. These enigmatic rooms open out around an expansive glass-covered courtyard inhabited with plants and benches. The overall effect produced by the scale and geography of the space has earned it the pet name “Nuba Village”. …. CATERING BY NUBA Throwing and Event, Party or Gathering? Nuba now does catering.
