3 Reviews on “Fresh Restaurants”
Food at Fresh is very yummy but I think the proportions are very large which means you’re eating over 1000 calories in one bowl.
I’d heard some great things about the Fresh chain of restaurants before we went, but overall I wasn’t that impressed. I normally go for sweet in the morning, but opted for their Full Breakfast, which came with potatoes, spinach, tofu scramble, toast, baked beans, and a choice of tempeh bacon or veggie sausage (I went for the tempeh). Everything tasted fine, but it wasn’t a meal I’d return for. I did, however, enjoy my iced matcha latte with coconut whip (definitely add a sweetener if you don’t like the taste of matcha alone), and the highlight of the visit were their puffed quinoa crusted onion rings. Go for the onion rings alone, and you’ll have an amazing time.
When I first thought of Fresh, I thought it was primarily a juice and smoothie bar with mostly healthy options. However, I found out that they definitely have some more decadent things here including the wonderful Onion Rings! This place seemed packed on a Sunday morning and service definitely took a little longer, but it was understandable.
Our group came here for brunch (available on weekends), and unfortunately I don’t think any of us were that impressed by our meals. I got the Blueberry Almond Pancakes which had a dense, thicker texture that I thought was kind of odd for pancakes. The tempeh bacon had a nice flavor, and the tofu scramble was ok although it wasn’t quite what I was expecting. I don’t know if I have the desire to return to Fresh but it’s nice to know that it’s an option if I’m craving some juices or smoothies (or onion rings) while in the area.
