3 Reviews on “Bloomer's”
I love bloomers. I’ve been here about 6 to 7 times although I only visited Toronto for a short time. They offer amazing breakfast items (beware: what you’d expect for Canadian breakfast!), cupcakes, cakes, cookies, burgers, mac’ncheese etc. I especially recommend the “pulled jackfruit”, it’s fabulous! The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is cosy. Recommended!
Bloomer’s wasn’t personally my favorite spot we visited while in Toronto, but I think that was just because we went to so many other amazing places. This restaurant has a cute atmosphere and they have really easy to-go options like baked goods, bagels and sandwiches.
I opted for the Poutine because I didn’t get to try any while in Canada, and it was honestly just okay. I did really like the Rose Pistachio donut I got to try a little of, and I heard that one of the best options on the menu was the Yegg Salad Sandwich. If I had the chance to come back here, I think I’d want to try one of their bowls for a healthier option.
We got to Bloomer’s around lunchtime, and it was clear that this is a popular spot. However, I think some of the other all vegan options on Bloor St are more worth a visit if your time in town is limited and you’re in the area. I did really enjoy the pistachio rose donut I had, but felt the Yegg Salad Sandwich fell short. Service was also pretty slow, but they were definitely busy, and there seemed to be only a few folks working at the time.
A fine meal, but Toronto has so much to offer, I had a hard time settling for fine.
