Corbett National Park was established in the year 1936 and today it is renowned as the oldest national park in India. Named after Jim Corbett, it was the first to come under Project Tiger Initiative. The park is home to a large number of tigers, in addition to leopards, elephants, black bears, gorals and a lot more. Birds species residing in the park include crested serpent eagle, blossom-headed parakeet, jungle fowl, etc. Every year, a large number of tourists from different parts of the world throng this part to take a peek into the habitat of animals and marvel at a large variety of plants found here. The best way to explore the dense forests of this park is a Jungle safari that is available in two options – Elephant Safari and Jeep Safari.
