AMSTERDAM “free stuff” TIP: With the lovely encouragement of my fellow sponsored travelers, I emailed the tourism board of Amsterdam about a week before arriving to see if I could get any complimentary things while here, in exchange for posting about my time in the city. They offered me an “iAmsterdam City Card” which it turn out gets you free public transit on trains, buses, and trams; and into a handful of museums for free (not the big ones though, like Anne Frank or Van Gogh. But it’s pretty sweet to not have to pay for public transit. All I had to do was post one photo of the card to one of my social media platforms, and the exchange was a done deal. Pretty cool!
