Apparently if you tell the waitstaff at Disney World restaurants that you’re a vegan, they’ll know exactly what you can have and how things can be modified. It was a very refreshing experience and I ended up with his nice meal, with a falafel appetizer :). Although it was very salty, and I’ve heard that from other people who have eaten there, so maybe ask for low sodium too?

    • I heard about Disney starting to accommodate for Vegans. I must go soon! 🙂

      • Yes, the server even said she’d learned so much about the vegan diet just from working there as they have to learn about all the different things people could ask for (gluten free, vegan, nut allergies, etc) so kudos to Disney for being so aware of dietary restrictions!

    • Disney parks are far more accommodating to vegan and alternative diets than Universal parks in my experience. I haven’t tried all of these things yet, but I know they have vegan waffle batter for their Mickey shaped waffles upon request, Toffuti ice cream in the Main Street ice cream parlor, and several restaurants will do exactly what you experienced if you let them know you’re vegan! Also, parks snacks like the pretzels, popcorn, and Dole Whip are all vegan without modification! Which restaurant did you get this salty meal from? 😉

      • I love the dole whip!!!! mmmmmmm. This was at the Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom 🙂

    • Great! Happy to hear a pleasant experience. Have you/are you going to go to Erin McKenna’s Bakery?! https://www.vegantravel.com/dining/united-states/florida/orlando/all-vegan/erin-mckennas-bakery-disney-springs-orlando/
