Ever since I experienced the wonders of the Northern Lights in Tromsø, Norway a few years ago, I have been longing to go back. And I had been planning to do just that this March, but last minute my plans changed so instead of -30C, I’m traveling in +30C weather today! 🙂

    • Wow, that photo is so beautiful. What an amazing experience.

I saw the northern lights in Iceland, but it wasn’t clear enough to get pictures… that’s amazing!

      • I saw them in Iceland too! Once from the plane on the way there and the other time we went on a drive to find them 🙂

I highly recommend late autumn or early spring in Tromsø, Norway. From Tromsø it’s an easy drive to several picturesque sites along the coast or over the mountains to Finnish lapland. Norway gets the Gulf Stream, so their winters are 10-15C warmer then they would otherwise be, so it is one of the more comfortable places to view the Northern Lights. And if you base yourself in Tromsø, they have several vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants. 🙂
