Throwback to when we witnessed the entrancing Whirling Dervishes in Konya, Turkey.

The Whirling Dervish took their name from Jelaleddin Rumi (1207-1273), the mystical poet and great Sufi master, called Mevlana (our leader) by his disciples.

The ritual begins by reciting prayers, and is followed by each dervish beginning to spin until they are all spinning together. It is beautiful, and mesmerizing to watch. Certainly one of the highlights of our time in Turkey.
